Križ’s first book, an edited collection with Marit Skivenes, Ravinder Barn, and Tarja Pösö, is entitled Child Welfare Systems and Migrant Children: A Cross Country Study of Policies and Practice (Oxford University Press, 2015). The book compares how child protection systems in Australia/New Zealand, Belgium/the Netherlands, England, Estonia, Canada, Finland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Norway, and the United States practice with migrant children.
Her second book, Protecting Children, Creating Citizens: Participatory Child Protection Practice in Norway and the United States (Policy Press, 2020), compares how child protection caseworkers employed by public child protection agencies in Norway and the United States promote children’s participation in their work. The book examines how caseworkers engage in participatory practice through relationship-building, recognition, and dignity-work.
